Wes "Buzzword" Streeting says the NHS is broken

Wes Streeting is doing what many politicians do when they have no better way of expressing themselves .They throw "buzzwords" around.

Streeting has served as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care since July 2024. Not exactly experience but within this time he can trash the NHS with his buzzwords.

It is unlikely that anybody would say the NHS is perfect or even excellent but one needs to look and analyse the situation correctly.

Many listeners on today's BBC Radio 2 Jeremy Vine show were disgusted that this new boy was making a blanket statement across the entire NHS. Nurses and other who felt they did a really good job rightly felt offended by his unqualified statements.

On the other hand there were people, - presumably with no in depth knowledge - crying out for privatisation.

One listener made a shrewd comment. "Labour want to say the NHS is broken, so that as soon as there is any small improvement in any area, they can claim they have fixed it.".

Some time ago I had written article on Danial Hannan trashing the NHS. Seems to be a politicians hobby. here

My comment to Jeremy Vine, which wasn't read out was that since I have lived back in the UK I have nothing but praise for the NHS. My GP is fantastic, Dorset County Hospital is amazing. So a blanket statement that the NHS is broken for me is just a labour buzzword.
