Generation Wet. Tears when they release their kids into the real world |
![]() |
Generation Wet Listening this morning to BBC 2 to people, I believe jt was only women, sobbing because their little darlings were off to University. Get a grip.... Of course it's nice when your kids grow up and go to higher education. Are you sobbing about having to leave them at the gates of the university or having to put them on a train? Alone fort the first time on a platform? This is normal or used to be normal. We didn't have this wet society where helicopter parents were hovering around every move of their children making sure that their homework was perfect. We know some that for years did all the homework. The kids never really deserved where they got to. Even at university mum would help out because little angel needed to hand in artwork for which she was - according to mum - incapable. (Sob) And of course the first time the little safe-guarded, ultra-protected and probably smart-phone addicted little brats left the control of Mummy a world fell to pieces. Probably not so much for the child, who may well be excited and relieved to gain freedom they never knew but more the sobbing mums / helicopters who were losing their little slaves From experience..... -pw- Weymouth |
