Issue November-26

There are people who with few words can tell an entire story.

Sometimes one sentence has the value of another man's book. Voltaire Francois-Marie Arouet 21 November 1694- 30 May 1778 was a French Enlightenment writer, philosopher (philosophe) and historian.

Known by his nom de plume M. de Voltaire, he was famous for his wit, in addition to his criticism of Christianity especially of the Roman Catholic Church and of slavery.

Voltaire was an advocate of freedom of speech, freedom of religion and separation of church and state.

Our favourite saying: Je ne suis pas d'accord avec ce que vous dites, mais je d,fendrai jusqu'... la mort le droit que vous avez de le dire I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it
